Caps for Kate
Caps for Peninsula Wig Centre 2017.
Like quilt making days, the hum of sewing machines, laughter, catching up with old friends and making new friends, but this time we are making sleep caps for those undergoing chemotherapy.
Everyone is welcome either for a few minutes or the entire day and there are a range of tasks that you may assist with or you are welcome to visit and see what we are doing.
The caps are made from interlock / soft jersey fabric with a band of ribbing attached. Only straight stitching, no zig zag or overlocking.
These days are held at the Sorrento Community Centre, Morce Ave, Sorrento. (Melway Ref 157 A7), between 9.30am and 3.00pm on the following days.
Sewing machine in good working order and extension lead and power board and a cushion for your chair.
Please ensure that all electrical items have a current electrical test / tag attached.
Sewing requirements (scissors, etc etc.).
Mug, lunch and a plate of something to share for morning and afternoon tea.
Please phone the Community Centre on
5984 3360, a week prior to the event, to confirm your attendance.
